Pumpkin Decorating Contest: Decorate your pumpkin using paint, glitter, stickers, etc. Be creative! Return pumpkins to school Monday morning, October 10. Each grade will have one winner. There will also be a grand prize winner.  Have fun! (Pumpkins and this contest are sponsored by JBI James Banasky Insurance)

Reading: "Under the Royal Palms" comp/vocab test signed. Same story spelling test signed with missed words written correctly 7 times. Both of these due 10/10. "Chuck Close Up Close" spelling 3 times and vocabulary definitions with sentences should already be completed after 1 1/2 class times. Please read "Chuck Close Up Close" by Monday so that you can participate in the compare/contrast assignment.


Science:  Homework is working on the topic you have chosen.  Tomorrow you will have time in the computer lab to research and write up your 10 facts.  This assignment is due on Monday.  Have fun and learn lots!
Reminder:  There are 2 Star Parties this weekend if the weather is clear.  Friday night you can go to Harmons at 4872 West 6200 South and Saturday at the Stansbury Park Observatory -- look on the Salt Lake Astronomical Society internet site for directions.  Both start at dusk.

Soc. Studies:  G.R.A.P.E.S. research paper due Oct. 12. Typed summary of research about Mesopotamia due Oct. 12.  Rough draft and marked corrections of original paragraph  due Oct. 12.
