Reading: Tested today on "Amelia Earhart" comprehension and vocabulary. If "Bessie Coleman" wasn't finished, then read it at home. Remember the bottom of the Autobiography Project note is due Monday, September 19th. The completed project is due Monday, October 3rd. I can hardly wait to read about our new 6th graders!
Lang. Arts: Memorize "Our Classroom Code." Practice saying it "Loud, Slow, and Clear." Students will be graded on memorization, fluency, speed, volume, and expression. It is worth 100 points. Due: Monday, September 19, 2011.
Math: We worked on Distance/ Time tables today. Pg 19 and 20 in the workbook should be complete by tomorrow.
Science: We learned more about the Earth and what 3 things make it the "just right" planet -- distance and temperature, atmosphere, and water. No homework.
Soc. Studies: Maps page 53 due Monday. Study the following countries: Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Syria, Iraq, Iran, Cyprus, Lebanon, Israel, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar, United Emirates, Yemen, and Oman. You will need to identify the countries on a blank map Wednesday. (TEST) Sing all weekend!
